How it works

01

Find out what to ask for

Based on your diet, we tell you which blood markers to ask your doctor for at your next blood test. You leave with a ready-to-print PDF.

02

Upload your blood test

Once you have your results, upload your PDF. Your values are cross-referenced with our nutrition reference specialised for plant-based diets. A clinical biologist adjusts the recommendations to your context and signs your report.

03

Understand and take action

Receive a personalised report: what your results mean for your profile, which foods to prioritise and which supplements to consider. Every recommendation is scientifically sourced.

What makes the difference

Plant-based expertise + clinical biologist

Our nutrition reference is built for vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian diets. A clinical biologist adjusts every report to your context and signs it before it reaches you.

Cross-analysis of your markers

We don't look at each marker in isolation. If your B12 is low and your homocysteine is high, we flag it, and explain the connection.

Supportive and judgment-free

Your report is written to be understood, not to alarm. No unnecessary medical jargon. Just simple words and practical steps tailored to your everyday life.

Adeline, founder of Rootyne

Why I created Rootyne

I've been vegetarian since childhood, back when it was far from common. The result: years of deficiencies, without really knowing which ones or how to fix them.

I'd occasionally get blood tests done, but essential markers were always missing. And when I did get results, one or two bold values on a sheet... honestly, I never went back to the doctor to decode it all.

Naturopaths support us day to day, but regulations don't allow them to interpret blood tests. Micronutritionists do valuable work, but they're rare and waitlists are long. For a first read of your blood test tailored to a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle, there was no accessible option. Rootyne is that first step.

Frequently asked questions

No. Rootyne is an information tool. We help you understand your results and give you leads, but it doesn't replace your doctor.

Your blood test is encrypted and hosted on an HDS-certified server (French health data hosting standard) at Scaleway, in France. Your biological values are extracted and cross-referenced with our nutrition reference specialised for plant-based diets. A clinical biologist adjusts the recommendations to your context and signs your report. We never share your blood test.

Behind every report, there's our nutrition reference specialised for vegetarian and vegan diets, cross-referenced with your profile and situation. Plus a clinical biologist's review and signature. It's more accessible than a micronutritionist consultation (€90-140, often months of waiting) and far more accurate than a generic tool.

Rootyne is designed for vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians. Markers and recommendations also adapt to your situation: pregnancy, breastfeeding, athletic practice.

We clearly tell you when you should see your doctor. Rootyne never replaces medical follow-up, but we help you ask the right questions.
